It's back to what we're used to tomorrow after the most spectacular five days of racing ever witnessed on Knavesmire - but don't despair.

Pontefract is staging a typically competitive programme for their Sunday fare, highlighted by the £20,000 totesport.com Pontefract Castle Stakes, a Listed race which provides the Royal Ascot-winning partnership of trainer John Gosden and jockey Jimmy Fortune with excellent prospects.

The duo were triumphant yesterday with Plea Bargain in the King Edward VII Stakes and tomorrow it's the turn of Shastye to do her stuff.

The fact that Gosden has retained this filly to enjoy a four-year-old campaign suggests an air of optimism and Shastye showed battling qualities when winning a handicap at Chepstow on her recent reappearance.

She has more on her plate tomorrow, but, from a stable in flying form, she has plenty going for her in this feature event. Wunderwood ranks as the main danger.

Jamie Spencer, who enjoyed a wide-margin win on La Chunga in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot at York yesterday, relies on Double Vodka in the £15,000 totequadpot Handicap.

A smooth winner on his latest start at Ayr, Double Vodka, trained near Thirsk by Lynda Ramsden, the jockey's mother-in-law, tackles the same distance of ten furlongs here and commands the utmost respect.

Stamina will be at a premium in the £10,000 toteexacta Handicap over two-and-a-quarter miles and Tim Easterby may hold the key with Thewhirlingdervish, who bids to win this marathon for the second successive year.

The Easterby horses are in grand form and Thewhirlingdervish has given notice lately that he is returning to form in perfect time to complete an encore. Dave Allan has the mount on a horse who will relish the fast ground, and who is awarded the nap vote.

At Warwick, Pace Shot can hit the target in the Book Online For A Discount Maiden Stakes.

The Michael Jarvis-trained three-year-old showed definite signs of ability when finishing second on his latest start at Haydock. He should be capable of going one better here under Philip Robinson.

Dunn Deal gets the vote in the Welcome All Dads Handicap, which opens the card.

Mark Brisbourne's sprinter is overdue a win after a series of creditable efforts in defeat. Well-drawn here, opportunity is fancied to come knocking for him.

In the Warwick Racecourse For Conferences Handicap, Libre is fancied to defy top-weight.

Frank Jordan's charge has racked-up a sequence of placed efforts and would hardly need to raise his game by much to chalk-up a deserved success in this modest event.
