I ALWAYS give credit where it is due so I must congratulate City of York Council for its efficient organising and the Evening Press for its coverage of the Royal Ascot meeting.
I am struggling to find a criticism of a brilliant week which ended in a glow of sunshine.
Our southern friends created a unique atmosphere and will go back to The Smoke with a different view of York and northerners. A big pat on the back for everyone concerned.
