York maintained the only 100 per cent record in division one of the Fulford Ladies Invitation League as they beat Dunnington.

Karen Retief and Kathryn Place had three good wins (9-3 9-3 8-4) to help York stay on top.

Poppleton, enjoying their best start to the season for many years, crushed Appleton Roebuck to go joint top with York. Nicola Connor and Ros Wilson were unbeaten winning 27 games.

Tadcaster beat Wheldrake 66-42, Sheila Stuart and Margaret Lindley top scoring with 25 games.

Heworth lost their unbeaten record in division two to a good all round performance from Castlegarth. Sue Jacklin and Dot Macentosh top scored winning 26 games in a 61-47 victory. This means Castlegarth are the only unbeaten team in division two.

Wigginton go marching on in division three with wins at Wheldrake and Wistow. Kate Rorrison and Ann Mead top scored with 29 games at Wistow. Sue Espiner teamed up with Kate and won 22 games at Wheldrake in a 68-40 victory.

Tollerton, having a great run in division four, beat Pocklington. Sandra Jennings and Angie Pearson had three straight wins in a close match which finished 58-50.

Boston Spa beat Poppleton by the same score. Lynn and Hazel Coop had three wins collecting 25 games but were on the losing side.

Next Generation are chasing division five leaders Escrick after wins against Fulford and Appleton Roebuck moved them up to second.

Escrick beat Sheriff Hutton. The experienced Janet Hare and Ruby Gorlay were in sparkling form as they finished with three good wins 8-4 7-5 9-3.

Copmanthorpe went top of division six on games difference over Bubwith. Claire Fuller and Laura Jones were unbeaten collecting 23 games as they beat Pocklington 59-49.
