Heworth blazed 265-6 in 40 overs, the highest total of the season in the competition as they beat visitors Easingwold to reach the Senior League Premier Cup semi-finals.

The first-wicket pair scored 86 before Mike Taylor fell to Jon Marwood for 21.

Dave Simpson and Colin de Grandhomme added 66 for the second wicket. Simpson was lbw to Paul Redshaw for 85. Redshaw dismissed de Grandhomme for 53. Richard Bowling made 50.

Easingwold skipper Martin Piercy fell to Richard Bowling before a run had been scored.

Chris Pitts removed dangerous duo Paul Skilbeck (41) and Dan Copeland (18). Teenager Jamie Banks hit a fine 50 but the need for quick runs saw Easingwold crash from 201-5 to 234 all out, leaving Heworth winners by 31 runs.
