Reporting to the Regional Finance Director this senior position is targeted primarily at managing a busy financial team and supporting management in monitoring and interpreting business trends in a proactive and forward looking manner. The role involves: Planning, preparing and reporting budget, monthly accounts and quarterly re-forecasts. Control all aspects of the balance sheet including VAT and tax analysis. Ensuring the systems and procedures of the Company are efficient, effective and highly controlled in accordance with corporate requirements. Constant liaison with management at all levels. Recruitment, development and management of the department including Accounts Payable, Banking staff and Payroll staff.

This is a position suited to a candidate who wants to make a real contribution to the running of a successful business. The ideal person will be professionally qualified and be able to demonstrate a fast track career history. You will have excellent inter-personal skills with the proven ability to influence at all levels. Experience of the newspaper industry would be desirable but not essential.
