THE Other Side Comedy Club in York goes the extra mile for a smile on Sunday evening (10th) by presenting not one, but two Edinburgh Fringe Festival previews.

Rob Deering and Al Pitcher: The Wolf Catcher both promise an extended set - one hour each - in the Basement Bar of City Screen, York, road-testing material for next month's festival.

"Rob Deering is comedy's man of the moment, and this year's Edinburgh could be the big one for him with his easy charm, cheesy singing voice, razor-sharp wit and clownish physicality," says Other Side master of ceremonies Dan Atkinson.

"Al Pitcher has the boundless energy of a kid who has drunk a bit much lemonade: you can't help but love his hyperactive friendliness."

Doors open at 7.30pm for the 8pm start. Tickets: £7, concessions £6; ring 01904 541144.
