HAVE a fun night out and raise vital funds for our Guardian Angels appeal that is the invitation from a York working men's club.

Tramways club, in Mill Street, is putting on a big fundraising bash to raise money for our appeal, and they want to see hundreds of people there.

Three music acts have been booked for the night, and there will also be a raffle, bingo, and possibly an auction.

Prizes include tickets to local attractions like Castle Howard, Harewood House and York Dungeon, and there are also day gym passes, a car MOT, bottles of wine and wrist watches to be won.

A donation will be asked for on the door of the event, and organisers hope as many as 300 people will turn up to make the party really swing.

Mick Evans, concert secretary at Tramways, said: "Come to support a very good charity. I thought it would be nice to do something local. We have all had children and grandchildren. I just thought it would be a good idea for the kids."

The Guardian Angels night is being held on May 31, at 7pm. Anyone who wants to attend on the night.
