NURSING staff from York Hospital boiled up a brew when they held a coffee morning to raise money for the Guardian Angels appeal.

Staff from York Hospital's children's ward put on the fundraising morning at Haxby and Wigginton Methodist Church last Saturday to raise more cash for the appeal, which the hospital is running with the Evening Press.

Children's services matron Jill Crampton said the morning had raised £340, and the church had donated a further £500.

Our Guardian Angels appeal aims to raise £300,000 to transform high dependency paediatric care on York Hospital's children's ward.
