The other night four cars were broken into in the vicinity of the Wheatsheaf pub in Burn near Selby and various other car-related crimes have occurred over the last few weeks.
Just a warning to everyone in the area - keep car doors and windows locked, keep valuables out of sight or preferably not in the car, and if you see anything suspicious please let the local police know. Thieves target pleasant quiet villages like ours - it is up to us all to make it unattractive and unrewarding for them to do so.
