A HUGE rock has been travelling around Clifton as parishioners prapare to mark Easter.
The rock is representative of the boulder that was rolled away from the front of Christ’s tomb.
It has been taken out and about the streets of Clifton by the Rev David Caswell and his parishioners.
They have been inviting people to sign the rock – which is made of plaster – and have prayers said for them.
Mr Caswell, of St Philip and St James Church, at Clifton Green, said: “We’ve had a great response with people saying ‘I’ve got some problems, I could do with a prayer’.
“We’re partly saying to people to come to services, but also that we want to meet them where they are. Also we’re saying that God wants to roll away your problems.”
Mr Caswell expects to be out with the rock in the Clifton Green area tomorrow and on Saturday.
