A COUPLE and their daughter are raising hundreds for a charity that helps members of the Armed Forces and their families.
Angie Doig-Thorne, who runs Insight York, and Mark Thorne, who runs Mark Thorne Building & Roofing Contractors and Fibretech Ltd, and their daughter Amber, are determined to give a boost to the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA).
Angie, who is a clinical hypnotherapist based at Dunnington and is also a personal trainer, said the current rate of casualties in Afghanistan had focused their thoughts on the work done by charities such as SSAFA.
She said they were asking customers to give donations and had already raised more than £300, and Amber, 15, who had reached the finals of the Miss Teen Galaxy beauty pageant, was also raising funds.
