THE patter of pooches’ paws was heard in York as the RSPCA held a fundraising dog walk.
The event took place on New Year’s Day, starting at the the city’s Landing Lane centre and more than 50 dogs took part – both people’s pets and animals looking for a new home.
It was the second time man’s best friends put their best paw forward to help those who help them when they are in need. In November, a similar walk saw a queue of dogs taking part. The centre needs at least £1,400 every day just to keep running, so money raised from the walk will go to the charity.
