POLICE are still unable to identify the man whose body was found floating in the River Ouse.
Police were called to the Toll Bridge in Selby at about 3pm on Monday when passers-by saw the body floating face-down in the water.
The area was taped off for several hours as firefighters recovered the body, which was taken to York Hospital.
A police investigation into the man’s death continued today. Officers said it was too early to determine if the death was suspicious.
