ON BEHALF of a friend, I am seeking information about relatives who lived in the York and Darlington area between 1938 and 1940.
They are Joseph Murgatroyd, who married Betty Gates and James Murgatroyd, who married Alice Gail. Both were railway workers and born at Newcastle-upon-Tyne in about 1912 to 1914.
