A TRUST set up to help young people to be leaders of change in their communities has been given more than £2,000 by York City.

The Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu, will receive a cheque for £2,171 from the club today, and the money will be donated to the Archbishop of York Youth Trust.

Dr Sentamu will be given the cheque by York City chairman Jason McGill on the pitch at half-time in the Blue Square Premier game between City and Wrexham.

Dr Sentamu said: “I want to thank Jason and York City for all the support they are giving to the Archbishop of York Youth Trust. York City are a community club committed to supporting local people. This money will go towards helping young leaders who are making a real difference.”
