PANTO stars got into character as they staged their first dress rehearsal in York.
The cast from Humpty Dumpty at the Theatre Royal got into costume yesterday, ahead of the opening night on Thursday.
It is the first time since 1988 that panto Dame Berwick Kaler has performed Humpty Dumpty.
The show runs from this Thursday until January 30. For tickets, phone the box office on 01904 623568.
