DESPITE not being at their best, York Schoolboys Under-11s shared a draw against Hull.
In a poor first half, York were wasteful in possession and when they again failed to clear their lines, a Hull striker accepted the gift and drilled the ball into the net.
York improved in the second half, though it wasn’t until the final quarter that they found their stride.
Sam Drake turned his man just inside the area to rifle home an unstoppable equaliser.
Frustration turned to jubilation as York took the lead with three minutes to go.
Casey Stewart’s run into the box ended with a cool finish, but Hull deservedly got their equaliser when York had a lapse in concentration.
