York Schoolboys Under-13s progressed in the West Yorkshire Cup with a hard-fought 3-1 win over Warrington.
York took the lead after only ten minutes with a cheeky lob from Jacob Rose.
Unbeaten in two years, Warrington stormed back to level with a superb long-range drive.
York had to defend stoutly, but on the counter-attack Adam Swords, Aaron Collis and Tom Robinson all had half-chances.
Substitute Dylan Howlett showed the way with a neat goal and, as the defensive unit of Joe Sykes, Harry Lynn, Henry Swires and Ferguson stood firm, York sealed the win in the dying seconds when man-of-the-match Rose finished in style.
