SNOW White and some of her trusty dwarfs have made a surprise visit to a York primary school and said “hi-ho” to pupils.
Cast members of York Grand Opera House’s pantomime popped in to St Oswald’s Primary School in Fulford to present seven-year-old Emily Hill with first prize for her panto programme cover design.
A theatre spokesman said Emily, who had no idea she had won the competition, was congratulated by Snow White.
The spokesman said: “Emily will get to see her winning picture on the programme cover, receive a family ticket to the first night of Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs and after-show party next Friday.
All the other entries will be displayed in the theatre’s foyer bar during the run of the pantomime. The show will run until Sunday, January 3.
