A LIMITED edition mug featuring St Mary’s Priory in Old Malton will go on sale this weekend to raise funds for the church.
Canon John Manchester said the mugs produced by Fiona and Howard Croft will be sold at Saturday’s Christmas fair. The congregation at St Mary’s has to find £55,000 for its annual contribution to the York Diocese, and the general running costs of the church.
Canon Manchester said: “It is becoming increasingly difficult to find such large sums, but we have some wonderful people in Old Malton who give us tremendous support.”
It is hoped the fair, which is being held at the Milton Rooms, Malton, from 10am to 1pm, will raise £2,000 for the church, said Canon Manchester.
