SHOPKEEPERS and residents are being urged to get round the table, in an attempt to thrash out a long-running parking feud.

City of York COuncil officials have opposed calls for a fresh investigation into the problems outside Broadway shops in Fulford, and instead say it is time for all parties to talk it out.

Locals have long complained about motorists parking on the pavement, saying they think it will cause an accident and various attempts to resolve the problem have failed.

Council officials say there would be little to gain from a fresh investigation, and instead want all aprties to meet to find a solution.
