THE Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu, has celebrated the fourth anniversary of his enthronement.
To mark the occasion, Dr Sentamu recited the Litany in St Cuthbert’s Chapel at York Minster. He also asked the people of York to pray with him.
He said: “I have had a memorable four years serving the people in this diocese and would like to thank the people of Yorkshire for their support over this time. I look forward to continuing my work here as there is still so much to do.
“This Advent I would like to invite people to join me in saying the Litany from Common Worship and the Prayer of General Thanksgiving from the Book of Common Prayer as part of their daily prayers.
“My prayer times will be morning, midday and evening. Please pray with me.
“I wish everyone a blessed and prayerful Advent.”
