There is a concerted attack on the NHS and the BBC, by the conservatives in support of the power moguls of wealth, such as Sir Fred of RB of Scotland and Murdoch. Their rule in life; if you can pay for it, it is there for you. They never talk about what you do if you can’t pay for it. Millions do think of little else. They are feeling the real pain of paying for the financial mess we are in through no fault of their own. They are paying with their homes, their jobs, their pensions, their cold homes and devalued moderate savings. Some have to choose between food and heat. Those responsible are still reaping their immoral harvest.

Sir Fred and the bankers are still helping themselves to massive bonuses and takings from our savings and waiting in eager anticipation of a conservative government. They want their hands on what remains of our life supporting assets. Maggie grabbed the council housing we are so very much in need of now. Electricity, gas, water and railways went the same way at give away prices and her ministers leaped in as directors on huge additional salaries. The Carriage works in York was bought for £1. The BBC and the NHS are the two biggest cherries remaining on the peoples’ tree and they can’t wait to pick them. These two important services are free on delivery to hard up millions and everybody else. The NHS for their actual well being and the BBC for their quality of life.

Sir Fred, Murdoch and their ilk have no need of or appreciation of how important the NHS is to those without the means to pay for health care. Nor of the massive range of news, entertainment and culture which are such great value to these same millions, free on delivery from the BBC.

The picture they build up of the NHS wasting money and falling short on services, and the BBC being too well funded at the expense of the Murdoch empire is the exact same strategy used before the last great raid on our essential life supports for the less well off. The millions they would save would go into decreased services for the millions, and increased profits for the few.

Those who rely on the NHS and the BBC know their full value, and they would suffer greatly by their loss.

If the conservatives and their sponsors want somewhere to perfect the imperfect, they would be fully employed at WESTMINSTER and the CITY and we would all benefit hugely. Except them of course.
