CHILDREN at a York school were flushed with success after raising more than £200.
The youngsters at St Oswald’s Primary School, Fulford, collected money in a toilet loaned to them by the B&Q store in Hull Road.
The pupils were marking World Toilet Day, an event to raise money and awareness about water issues around the world.
The children collected cash by taking part in a non-uniform day, colouring competition and quiz. The motto for the event was Spend A Penny For World Toilet Day.
The youngsters contributed 50p for each event or competition and raised £225.
The money will be divided between the Water Aid and Children In Need charities.
