Redwood Park fishery, near Huby, will be staging a winter league series starting on Saturday, November 21.

There will be ten matches, fortnightly, of which the best seven results count towards the final tally. There will also be a prize and trophy for the best pair.

Each match will be £10 all-in with a £10 optional sweep. The matches will be rotated around the venue’s three lakes. Top prize for the eventual winner of the individual competition will be a guaranteed £250 minimum.

In addition to this, the fishery will also be running open matches every Sunday, starting on November 22.

Anglers can turn up on the day of the match.

The opens will be £10 all-in with an optional £5 sweep. All of the above league and open matches will draw at 9am and fish from 10am to 3pm.

In support of these new matches, Redwood Park have gone to great lengths to improve the quality of the fishing on offer. They will be opening a new 45-peg canal for the winter league, as well as introducing substantial numbers of new fish and fish species, including ide and barbel, to all of the lakes.

A new car park has been constructed in close proximity to ‘The Arc’.

For those anglers who have never visited Redwood Park, the facilities are excellent with breakfast available from 8am and orders for lunch taken at pegs.
