So prominent Lib Dem Vince Cable used his father’s influential connections to avoid police prosecution for shooting cats and dogs with an air gun from his bedroom window(Lib Dem luminary attacks Galloway, The Press, October 29)?
The RSPCA inspectors would not have been bought off so easily. What a pity the residents of Holgate had not reported these assaults on their pets at the time.
