THE first meet of the City of York Ingrams Solicitors Summer Athletics League will be held at Huntington Stadium next weekend.
More than 200 athletes between the ages of eight and 18 from across the region took part in last year’s inaugural event.
The first league meeting will be held on Saturday, May 23, from 11am, with subsequent fixtures taking place on Sunday, June 28, Sunday, July 12 and Saturday, August 8.
The Ingrams League was designed for youngsters new to athletics to try their hand at a range of events.
Awards will be handed out to the first three in every event at each meeting.
Trophies are also given to the first, second and third athletes in the league after the four meetings.
Youngsters who attend three of the four meetings qualify for the league trophies.
