I refer to the letter in Friday’s Press requesting details of the 100th anniversary of the first air show in Britain at Doncaster in 1909 (Aerial memories).
A brand new book about the event, containing many original photographs, will be launched in about four weeks time by Yorkshire Air Museum at Elvington, which is also running a huge event at Doncaster Racecourse for the region’s schools, supported by Yorkshire Forward, Doncaster council and the Royal Aeronautical Society.
