I HAVE just read your article “Blitz on dog nuisance” (Friday, April 24).

To say that I am annoyed is an understatement.

As a dog walker for many years I always “picked up” after my lovely greyhound Poppy. I can honestly say that the people who didn’t were the minority.

I wish the residents who were giving the tip-offs would look a bit closer and complain about empty tins, bottles etc, and all the vandalism that takes place regularly.

Also, watch the cats more closely. Maybe they are cat lovers and that is why there are no tip-offs about cats fouling.

I get sick and tired of going into my garden and ending up with “you know what” all over my hands.

It is disgusting and quite honestly makes me feel sick.

Does anyone take responsibility for this? Get fined for this? Get reported for this? No.

Different animals maybe, but the result is the same. Come on cat owners, keep your cats at home or, follow them around and clean up after them like most dog owners!

Maybe if you could be fined too, you would.

Annoyed and disgusted.
