MALTON and Norton Golf Club ace Emma Brown shared third place in the Helen Holm Scottish women’s open strokeplay championship at Troon.
Brown, who won the title five years ago in her maiden name of Duggleby – was three shots behind Irish winner Leona Maguire, aged 14, who recently won the French Under-21 championship.
In the final round former Curtis Cup star Brown birdied four of the last seven holes, including the 17th and 18th. She posted rounds of 74, 73 and 75.
Ganton GC’s Naomi Edwards was ninth after rounds of 76, 74 and 75.
