A great team effort by Fulford United underpinned a thrilling 4-3 victory over their nearest York FA Under-19s League title rivals Rawcliffe.
A Carl Stewart hat-trick was supplemented by a strike from Danny Penrose to complete the Fulford haul.
Rawcliffe’s goals were shared between Luke Hall, Karl Butler and Eddie Clapham.
Dunnington kept the pressure on the top two with a 4-1 victory over Wigginton.
In difficult conditions, Dunnington took the lead through Rob Chipps and then quickly doubled their advantage when Gareth Miles beat the offside trap.
A bad defensive error let Sean Wilson in to pull a goal back for Wigginton.
Chipps restored the two-goal cushion for a 3-1 half-time lead.
Wigginton worked hard to get back into the game but a Tim Gough lob made it 4-1 to complete the scoring.
Poppleton beat Huntington 2-0.
Adam Ferguson headed over the ’keeper before half-time, while Theo Ford shot home after the interval.
Tadcaster scored three without reply against New Earswick with Ryan Wilson (2) and Ben Wilson on target.
Hamilton Panthers lost 3-2 at home to Heworth.
Aaron Fishwick and Jamie Kitson were the home scorers with Jack Sullivan (2) and John Verity the Heworth scorers.
