EAST Yorkshire’s Allerthorpe Lakeland Park is hosting a family fun day on Easter Monday, April 13.

There will be a range of activities to suit people of all ages, with Easter-themed activities including egg rolling, treasure hunt and competitions for the best-decorated egg and Easter bonnet.

A bouncy castle, face-painting and fairground rides will be on hand to keep children entertained and the Peaks Coffee Shop and Tea Room will be open all day.

Visitors can take to the water and try their hand at watersports on the park’s five-acre lake, including sailing, windsurfing and kayaking. Boats, kayaks, windsurfers and equipment are available for hire.

Experienced or budding anglers can have a go at fly-fishing at the three-acre trout fishing lake, newly stocked with a variety of species.

The lakeland walk is open for visitors and responsible dog owners are welcome.

The park, near Pocklington, opens at 9am, with Easter activities getting underway from 1pm.
