THE boss of a York travel firm has explained why he wants to help in the hunt for Claudia.
A poster about her disappearance is now being displayed on the side of one of the coaches operated by Quartz Travel, which is based just a short distance from Claudia’s home in Heworth.
Owner Paul Smith said he had known Claudia since they were both at York College. “I went to college with her for three years. I sat next to her,” he said.
“She was a kind, generous person. I still see her around in the area because the business is based so close to her home.”
Speaking to The Press from South America, Mr Smith said he had been shocked to hear of Claudia’s disappearance.
