ACOMB ‘A’ are the John Smith’s Bulmers Men’s Darts League division one champions, Mark Hartley (21) and Lee Brundrett (180 for 17) securing the title with a 7-2 win over Crescent ‘A’.
Volunteers had Paul Botterill (180 for 15), Dave Mason (180), Paul Cooper (180 for 16) and Mick Harris (21 and 102 c/o) playing well in a rearranged game, but Martyn Turner (180 for 18 and 180 for 15), John Gothard (20), Daz Uttley (2 x 18), Neil Hart (20) and Chris Thompson (17, 20 and 111 c/o) gave Clifton a 6-3 win.
However, Botterill (18) and Harris (20, 21) helped Volunteers secure runners-up spot with a 6-3 win at Crescent ‘B’.
Steve Hedley (19) helped Flag to ensure division one darts next season with a 6-3 win over Fulfordgate Finals night will be held tonight at the Holgate WMC starting at 8pm.
