SIMON Dyson was hoping to spoil Colin Montgomerie’s party when he teed off today in the European Tour’s Open de Andalucia de Golf in Spain.
The 31-year-old North Yorkshire swing king was returning to action for the first time in more than three weeks at the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla.
The enforced break came at the wrong time for the Malton and Norton Golf Club stalwart, whose last foray in competitive action was finishing in a three-way tie for second in the Indonesian Open at the start of the month.
Dyson, who will hope to continue the form that saw him stride back into the world’s top 100 players, teed off today from the tenth at 8.20am local time with 2008 Ryder Cup player Soren Hanson and José Manuel Lara.
