WE are approaching the grab-it-while-you-can season, pick your own so much, and ever so much, for two licks and a gulp of ice cream.

It’s a disgrace that gran and grandad giving the kids a day out, have to dig so deep to give the kids a treat. If two parents with three children dare indulge themselves, it will set them back at the very least a tenner.

How can ice cream merchants justify these exorbitant prices? If they come up with a reasonable answer I will feel much happier about it and stop feeling such an old Scrooge.
