AMBULANCE crews were called to a rush-hour crash involving two cars on a busy road near York this morning.

The collision happened just before 8am on the A1079 at Kexby, with police, fire crews and paramedics all attending the incident.

It involved a silver Vauxhall Vectra and a blue Vauxhall Corsa and the female driver of one of these cars was treated at the scene for whiplash, but nobody was seriously injured and the stretch of road did not need to be closed.
