GARY Bolton saved Fulford Arms from a whitewash at York John Smith’s Sunday Pool League leaders Mitre ‘A’.
Bolton won the last frame after Graham Worcester and Dave Catlow had completed doubles to give the hosts a comfortable lead.
The Crystal Palace derby match saw the ‘A’ team thrash the ‘B’ team 7-1.
Gary Kelly and Martin Ackroyd bagged a brace apiece, while Steve Dunning saved the ‘B’ team blushes with a last frame win.
York Health Club entertained Dringhouses ‘A’ and the sides were level at 2-2 before Health Club took three of the remaining frames to run out 5-3 winners.
Mark Taylor won both his games for Dringhouses.
