The new unemployment statistics across Europe will come as no surprise. However, there is significant danger in them for certain EU member states.
In Spain for example, the figures are rising through 18 per cent. Competition for even the most menial jobs is fierce. Greece and Italy are hurting, although the social unrest in Greece is at the moment being hushed up. Watch for the signs in Madrid and Rome. Devaluation of the currency is not an option; the Eurozone nation states have lost control of their financial policy. EMU stands for Even More Unemployment.
The end of the euro is nigh.
