Dunnington blew the York FA Under-19s League title race wide open with a 4-2 victory over Rawcliffe.

The third-placed side were 4-0 up against the leaders at half-time with two goals each from Rob Chipps and Liam Summers.

It could have been even more of a lead, but Dunnington missed several chances.

Rawcliffe rallied in the second half, but Dunnington defended resolutely.

Despite Rawcliffe’s second half dominance, they could only manage two scrappy goals from Dale Holding and Eddie Clapham.

It was Rawcliffe’s first defeat in ten league matches this season.

Second-placed Fulford kept the pressure on with a 3-0 victory over Poppleton.

In an even first half, Fulford missed two good chances to score.

Carl Stewart eventually netted for them on 50 minutes and Danny Penrose added a second after a mistake from the Poppleton ’keeper.

Jamie Husband completed the scoring in the 90th minute.

Fulford ’keeper Robbie Thackray was rewarded for his fine performance with a clean sheet, while Lee Fisher starred for Popp.

Hamilton Panthers beat Wigginton Grasshoppers 5-0 with Danny Cates scoring his second hat-trick in three games. Panthers were 1-0 up at half-time following a 20-yarder from Jack Condron. Lee Bond scored an early goal in the second half, followed by Cates’ treble.

Huntington lost 2-1 at home to Tadcaster. They led 1-0 at half-time through Luke Smith, but goals from Josh Wigglesworth and Rob Ward gave Tadcaster the points.

New Earswick won 4-2 at Easingwold with goals from Jonathan Moss, Dean Bowers, Danny Peart and Adam Room. Ben Stirk and James Zillessen netted for Easingwold.
