ON the right road to success – that’s two York schools groups after they landed sponsorship from York car firm Evans Halshaw Citron.

Jorvik School Sports Partnership and Ebor School Sports Partnership were given a logistical boost by the Clifton Moor-based dealership who have provided a Citron Relay van on loan.

The van will be used to transport equipment for the Sportshall Athletics events across the city.

With around 20,000 children accessing school sport and 60 primary schools taking part in Sportshall Athletics – one of the biggest primary competitions in York – the kind of support that Evans Halshaw have given is vital to ongoing growth and developments, said competition manager Matt Gillard.

Both the Jorvik School Sports Partnership and the Ebor School Sports Partnership run a full calendar of sporting events and competitions for primary schools and have a growing programme to support secondary schools, PE staff and the York and Selby School Sport Association.
