York RI Mon/Wed ‘A’ are still unbeaten in men’s one of the York Badminton League after a 9-0 away drubbing of Riverside.
Paul Turner and his partner, RI colt Ollie Cohen, kept up their recent tremendous form, taking all three rubbers in straight games for a scoreline of 126-77.
Clifton ‘A’ are also going well in men’s one and they enjoyed a 7-2 win over their ‘B’ team.
Daniel Woolfson and Erik Wagenaars strolled through their three ‘A’ team wins in straight sets for a scoreline of 126-82.
Tadcaster continued their charge towards promotion from men’s two with a 6-3 home win over RI Tuesday/Thursday ‘B’.
The home opening pair of Phil Zealand and Pete Smith kept up their excellent record with three straight wins for 126-73.
Selby/Drax ‘B’ are five from six in men’s three after a superb 8-1 away win over RI Tuesday/ Thursday ‘C’.
Rex Pocklington and John Formby rolled back the years to put in their best display of the season, recording three wins for a total score of 146-97.
Selby Jubilee look to be the form team in men’s three after a 6-3 away win over Knavesmire.
The second Jubilee pairing of Mike Stevens and Pete Murphy showed their team-mates how to convert opportunities as they had a return of 129-93.
Fulfordgate visited Terry’s in men’s three and completed the double with an 8-1 scoreline.
Matt Hobman and Andrew Johnson were untouchable for the visitors and took their best return of the season, winning 126-57.
