KEVIN’S Lake proved the best of the bunch at Langwith Lakes as Chris Hargreaves emerged the winner.
Drawn at peg three, the venue regular offered maggots down the middle line to find 48lb of carp to 3lb after a slow start.
Discount Tackle-backed Chris Reilly filled second place from peg 23, where maggot at ten metres brought an enthusiastic response from the carp and his efforts were rewarded with a 45lb 6oz haul.
Langwith’s Pete Uttley was third.
