VOLUNTEERS were 7-2 winners over New Inn in the York John Smith’s Bulmers Men’s Darts League.
The stars for the joint-leaders were Dave Mason (21), Paul Dixon (111 c/o for 18), Paul Cooper (18), Matty Wilson (2 x 20) and Mick Harris (18, 19).
Mark Mason (19), Lee Brundrett (180) and Mark Hartley (21) helped Acomb to a 7-2 win at Fulfordgate, whose best was John Mooring (17).
Shepherd’s Tony Cooper (13, 19, 76 c/o) had an excellent night and he was supported by Mark Jones (19, bull c/o) and Dave Gibbons (19) in a 7-2 win at Flag, whose Steve Hedley (20), Gordon Foster (21) and Graham Hudson (120 c/o for 21) played well.
Clifton could only manage a 6-3 win at Britannia (Steve Snowden 134 c/o for 18) despite the efforts of Chris Thompson (17, 20 and 2 x 180), Martyn Turner (20) and Daz Uttley (20).
Rich Plummer (2 x 180, 17) Kel Frankel (180) saw Crescent ‘A’ defeat their ‘B’ team 5-4.
Division two leaders Tang Hall had Simon Lansbury (22) on form in a 7-2 win at Derwent.
Turf took the last four games for a 6-3 win, while Slip’s Glen Whitehead and Pete Ella took the decider at Holgate.
