REBECCA Turnbull and Emily Hick were double winners at the annual Poppleton Lawn Tennis Club Christmas tournament.
Turnbull won the Under-14s and U16s girls’ events, beating Hannah Chambers 10-5 in the U14s and Sophie Worsman 11-9 in the U16s.
Meanwhile, Hick was an 11-9 winner over Ellie Caley in the U9s final before beating Jessica Webster 11-5 in the U10s event.
The U8s boys’ final saw Robbie Greenall beat Joe Chadwick 10-1, with Emily Creighton defeating Amy Webster 10-6 in the girls’ event.
Robbie Greenall won the U9s boys’ final, with a 7-5 victory over Luca Colville, and the U10s’ final saw Ben Singleton beat Dan Craddock 7-3.
The U12s boys’ final was won by Jack Fisher, with a 7-5 win over James Moss, while the U14s’ crown went to Andrew Burdett, who beat Ben Tranter.
The U16s boys’ title went to Nick Turnbull, who beat Chris Tune 6-0.
