THE truth is out there. Somewhere. UFO expert Russ Kellett has been getting lots of emails reporting mysterious lights over York.
One person wrote of seeing an “object travelling towards me. I could see that there were tubes of lights coming from the underneath which were pulsating.” Another described a “very big red ball in the sky.”
It all sounds very spooky. Perhaps we’re not alone after all… Wigginton woman Renee Smith has a more prosaic explanation, however.
She lit a Chinese lantern on New Year’s Day and let it float into the sky. It’s just possible it could have been mistaken for a UFO, she admits.
Possibly. Somehow, we don’t think everyone will be convinced.
