THIS CCTV image shows York woman Lisette Dugmore just hours before she went missing, pictured with a mystery man.

The picture is one of three released by detectives investigating the disappearance of Lisette, 36, of Clifton.

Police want to speak to the man in the pictures – and Lisette’s family today appealed for him, or anyone who knows him, to come forward.

The images show her talking to the man outside Bootham Tavern and Sainsbury’s store in Bootham, on Sunday, July 6 – the day she went missing.

In the CCTV images Lisette is seen standing on her own at 6.48pm.

Twenty minutes later, at 7.08pm, she is seen sitting on the pavement with a man outside Sainsbury’s. Then at 7.15pm they are seen standing outside the Bootham Tavern, talking.

The man is tall with dark hair, wearing a rucksack and dressed in jeans and a black top.

Officers say they would like to speak to the man as they believe he may have vital information about Lisette’s whereabouts.

Her sister, Dion Smith, 42, urged the man to come forward.

She said: “Please, please contact the police and let us know what she said to you and if you know where she is. Or if you know who this man is then please come forward.”

Detective Inspector Adrian Gathercole, who is leading the investigation, said: “The man in the pictures could have important information which could help us piece together Lisette’s movements leading up to the last time she was seen by her partner.

“It is now over a week since Lisette was last seen by family members and we are becoming very concerned. Her family are distraught and just want to know that she is safe and well.

“We would appeal to him to contact us or anyone who knows his identity to get in touch. It is not known if he is the same man who rang police on that evening to report a distressed woman, but it has not been excluded.”

The Press told on Saturday how Lisette’s family had urged a “mystery man” who contacted the police on the night she vanished to come forward.

The man, who gave his name only as Matt, called the police late on Sunday night from a phone box at the front entrance to York Railway Station.

He said he had just been speaking to a woman who was in a distressed state, and told officers he was concerned about her.

Police believe the woman may have been Lisette, who has been missing from her home in Peterhill Drive.

Officers searched the River Ouse yesterday, but a North Yorkshire Police spokesman said the checks were “routine”.

He said: “We haven’t had any information to suggest that’s where we should be looking.”

Dion said: “It’s the not knowing which is just absolutely horrendous. It really is.

“The things that run through your head are unbelievable. You can’t help running through the worst-case scenarios. We are just all worried about her and we want to know she is safe.”

Lisette is described as white, with brown shoulder-length hair and blue eyes and speaks with a local accent.

She is around 5ft 6ins tall, of slim build and was wearing blue jeans with a blue fleece top when she was last seen.

If anyone has seen Lisette since last Sunday or knows of her whereabouts, they are urged to phone York CID on 0845 6060 247.
