THREE people were rescued from a car stuck in flood water in North Yorkshire today.
Fire and Rescue Crews, Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust, North Yorkshire Police responded to an incident to the north of Pickering at 2.17pm today (October 2), where a car, containing three elderly men, was stuck in flood water.
Crews from Whitby, Danby, Pickering, Malton and Selby rescued all three people using water rescue PPE, before they were checked over by the ambulance service.
The car was later removed from the water with assistance from a member of the public in a 4x4 vehicle using a tow rope.
Pickering Fire Station issued a warning for road users saying: "Please don't be tempted to drive through flood water or flooded roads. It doesn't take much water to make a vehicle unstable."
