A FIRE in a York village has been started deliberately.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service say they were called at 4.51pm on Tuesday (September 24) after reports of a fire in Upper Poppleton.
A service spokesman said: “Acomb fire crew used beaters and pitchforks to extinguish two piles of straw which had been set alight deliberately.”
