POLICE in York are keen to trace a man following a possible race hate crime.
North Yorkshire Police has released an image of a man they need to talk to in connection with a race-related hate crime investigation in York city centre.
A force spokesman said: "The incident happened at about 6.30pm on Wednesday (September 18).
"The man made off when he was told the police had been called.
"He was last seen heading towards the War Memorial at 7.10pm.
"Enquiries are ongoing to locate the man.
"If you know who he is or where we can find him, please email Rosie.Prior@northyorkshire.police.uk or call 101, option 2, and ask for Rosie Prior.
